Well I cannot believe I am nearly at the end of my English degree course. It has been quite a journey and I’m sorry it’s nearly come to an end. I have thoroughly enjoyed my study at Doncaster University Centre and have made some really good friends over the last three years. I had intended to progress to post graduate study however, I have decided against taking the MA in English Literature and Digital Culture and opted to enrol in a Professional Journalism Course with the British College of Journalism; it makes more sense for me to go down this road. My goal is to be a published author (as opposed to a self-published author) and to try my hand at freelance writing. The course will provide me with the knowledge and skills that I require; how to write a feature article, different styles of writing. At the end of the course I can apply to receive the INS Media Pass which is a useful tool and I will be accredited with International News Syndicate Ltd. (INS). This accreditation will place me on their register of freelance writers and other media providers. I am very excited about the future but before I embark upon another course I am going to have a hard earned rest and return to Cyprus for a holiday. I have been so busy with my degree that I have not had the time to write the sequel to Valiant Tails – The Cat Mafia, and it had to be put on hold but I will be writing again soon so look out for the sequel. Thank you Doncaster University Centre for all you have done for me; three years very well spent.
